Andrew Knowles was born in Freeport, Bahamas and moved to Dade county Florida when he was a little boy of three. His father visited and phoned regularly, but didn't live with Andrew and his mother. Moving regularly, Andrew's dad was sent to prison when Andrew was six years old.
The future rapper and his mother found times very tough after his father's imprisonment. His mom's mother-in-law - Andrew's Grandma - took them under her roof. To support herself and her boy, Andrew's mom had to work two jobs.
Entertainment was Andrew's passion. When he was in school, he sought-out plays and talent shows to perform in. When he was only 14, he started to rap. He wrote and performed his own material. When he was 16, his passion found him looking to make Rap his career of choice.
Mike Green of Platinum Studios was one of several people who Andrew sent his work to. Green liked what he heard and made it possible for Andrew to get quality time in various studios where he honed his art. As a young adult, Andrew had to take on two jobs - just like his mother - when it didn't look like his passion was going to come to fruition. His Rap dreams were put on hold when he moved to Palm Beach Florida at the age of 18. Fate found local music producers Smif-N-Gunz. The rapper rediscovered his passion when he met this local team.
Abellard and Reign are the experience this phenomenal rapper needs to continue with his talent. Airplay on Power 96 out of Miami and local performances are helping to spread the work Andrew has had a passion for most of his young life. A mixed effort from 2008 saw great reviews and more rap to come from this new addition to the popular genre. The passion, talent, real-life experiences and drive Andrew has shown - along with the recognition from various critics and agencies make it clear that the name RudeBoy has the potential to spread through the heavy layers of today's competitive Rap scene.
