Second Estimation Movie Evaluations Meant For Your Amusement

By Jospeh Kirby

Motion pictures are good entertainment but they can also be very advantageous for our mental health. Motion pictures allow us to take some time to loosen up and escape from our daily difficulties and anxieties. We are able to let go of our day after day cares as we get caught up in the lives we are observing on film. Pick from the critiques below and download a wonderful film to watch this evening.

Lantana - Poignant, adult tale of relations obstructed by monotony, routine, and absence of articulation. LaPaglia plays a cop, whose marriage has stagnated, leading him to have an affair. In the mean time, he examines the disappearance of a lady whose own marriage is in danger. The film is beautifully nuanced at every turn. Cast includes Anthony LaLaglia, Geoffrey Hurry, Barbara Hershey, Kerry Armstrong, Rachael Blake, Vince Colosimo, Daniela Farinacci, and Peter Phelps. (121 minutes, 2001)

The Facts of Life - Advanced comedy with Bob and Lucy leaving their spouses for an interlude together. The 2 megastars make a team worth observing. Cast includes Bob Hope, Lucille Ball, Ruth Hussey, and Don DeFore. (103 minutes, 1960)

The Defiant - A fascinating tale of 2 fugitive convicts, one black and one white who are chained together as they escape from the penitentiary in the South. Superior performances by Williams and Chaney as individuals they meet during the voyage. Academy Prize for screenplay by Harold Jacob Smith and Nathan E. Cast includes Tony Curtis, Sidney Poitier, Theodore Bike, Charles McGraw, Carnie Williams, and Lon Chaney, Jr. (97 minutes, 1958)

Onionhead - A untidy movie with Griffith joining the Coast Guard in pre WW2 and becoming a ships chef. The flick tries to be a comedy, a romance, and a drama at the same time and succeeds at none. Cast includes Andy Griffith, Felicia Farr, Walter Matthau, Erin O'Brien, Joe Mantell, Ray Danton, James Gregory, Joey Bishop, Roscoe Karns, Claude Akins, Peter Brown, and Tige Andrews. (110 minutes, 1958)

The Search - Poignant drama of American cadet Clift regarding for concentration camp survivor Jandl in postwar Berlin, when the lad's mommy sadly searches all over the camps for him. Beautifully performed and directed. Cast includes Montgomery Clift, Ivan Jandl, Aline MacMahon, Jarmila Novotna, and Wendell Corey. (105 minutes, 1948)

Borderline - Unusual thriller comedy in which Los Angeles police officer Trevor tries to collect proof contrary to cunning drug smuggler Burr when mixing with hard gentleman MacMurray in Mexico. Starts out promisingly, although eventually slows down in silliness. Burr makes a articulate scoundrel. The cast includes Fred MacMurray, Claire Trevor, Raymond Burr, Jose Torvay, Morris Ankrum, and Roy Roberts. (88 minutes, 1950)

Movies And MP3

Movies and MP3 files are already compressed with near maximum capacity. Repacking them would just create larger files and increase decompression time. Ripped movies are still packaged due to the large file size, but compression is disallowed and the RAR format is used only as a container. Because of this, modern playback software can easily play a release directly from the packaged files, and even stream it as the release is downloaded (if the network is fast enough).

MP3 and music video releases are an exception in that they are not packaged into a single archive like almost all other sections. These releases have content that is not further compressible without loss of quality, but also have small enough files that they can be transferred reliably without breaking them up. Since these releases rarely have large numbers of files, leaving them unpackaged is more convenient and allows for easier scripting. For example, scripts can read ID3 information from MP3s and sort releases based on those contents.
