The Reasons Why Zombie Movies Are Popular

As an occasional viewer of horror films about zombies, I ponder why scary movies are so appealing to peaceful individuals like me as well as others. I wouldn't recommend these movies to children under the age of 18, but they do provide relaxation for adults who would like to escape their everyday concerns while not confusing a movie with reality. * My first interest in zombie films date back to when I watched black-and-white classic movies about Count Dracula and Frankenstein, not to mention reading some books by Bram Stoker and Mary Shelley. Back then, horror films and books were not as graphic as they are today, and they were entertaining enough even with fewer grisly details. Nowadays, ghastly monsters, with what seem to be real bodies, tear both movie viewers and book readers away from the mundane problems they often they face. Viewers often admire the actors who pretend to flee from uncontrollable zombies and who help their fellow-actors flee the same. At the end of the day, the actors go home and are likely to aspire to act in other popular films that are quite different from the "zombie" genre. ...

Movies And MP3

Movies and MP3 files are already compressed with near maximum capacity. Repacking them would just create larger files and increase decompression time. Ripped movies are still packaged due to the large file size, but compression is disallowed and the RAR format is used only as a container. Because of this, modern playback software can easily play a release directly from the packaged files, and even stream it as the release is downloaded (if the network is fast enough).

MP3 and music video releases are an exception in that they are not packaged into a single archive like almost all other sections. These releases have content that is not further compressible without loss of quality, but also have small enough files that they can be transferred reliably without breaking them up. Since these releases rarely have large numbers of files, leaving them unpackaged is more convenient and allows for easier scripting. For example, scripts can read ID3 information from MP3s and sort releases based on those contents.
