Between his drinking problem and her drug addiction, it was not the high point of marital bliss for either one of them, When it all came crashing down in 1975, no one was surprised.

The humbucker is basically the arrangement of two coils.

The first step in developing a solo, an important ingredient that would need to be addressed, is the proper execution of rudiments. Are your single strokes, doubles, paradiddles, rolls, flams, and so on, played well? You will want to execute these smoothly and with precision. Frank Sinatra Goes Bossa Nova With Antonio Carlos Jobim

One of the frequently heard criticisms of Frank Sinatras work is that he was essentially a one trick pony. He is often accused of not being a technically adept vocalist, and simply reworking a formula over and over again. While Sinatra certainly knew what worked for him, and what kind of songs and arrangements he liked this assertion is patently unfair and displays a profound ignorance of the entire body of his work. If you dig deeper in the Sinatra oeuvre, youll find some amazing examples of vocal prowess. Perhaps his best work in this regard came from his collaboration with legendary Brazilian guitarist Antonio Carlos Jobim.

Jobim is often credited with popularizing Bossa Nova music outside of Brazil. He worked with Sinatra on an album of samba tinged standards entitled Francis Albert Sinatra and Antonio Carlos Jobim. The work was a critical and commercial success, and Sinatra would hold Jobim in very high regard for the rest of his life"both as a musician and as a friend. After Jobim entered a semi-retirement in the 1970s and 1980s where he did little collaboration with other artists, Sinatra would often introduce his performances of Jobim songs live by remembering his Brazilian colleague in very fond terms or expressing the hope that the two men could work together in the future.

"Wave", written by Jobim and arranged by Eumir Deodato, is among the best of all of the Sinatra/Jobim collaborations. It features some amazing vocal work by Sinatra, including perhaps the lowest notes he ever hit on a recording. It is said that for the rest of his life Sinatra would listen to "Wave" just to hear how good he sounds hitting the bass notes.

This song was to have been a featured track on a second collection of Sinatra/Jobim collaborations, but for some inexplicable reason it was never released as such.One story is that Sinatra himself nixed the release because he didn't like the cover art. The photographer that insisted on posting Sinatra in front of a Greyhound bus mayhave been responsible for depriving the world of a second collection of Sinatra with a bossa nova twist.

"Wave", along with the majority of the songs intended for the "Sinatra/Jobim" album finally surfaced on "Sinatra and Company" in 1970. The "b" side is some of Sinatra's ill-fated attempts to cover popular songs of the day ("Close To You", It's Not Easy Being Green", "Leaving On A Jet Plane"). Or on the odd occasion the guitar tutor would come to your home. In this day and age it's all changed, we have many more options open to us. With more choices comes more chances to make costly mistakes, hence why you should try to get it right first time.

Before making your decision on which type of course to go for I would like to go through the advantages and disadvantages of both online and offline courses as it will hopefully help you in your final decision. We'll start with online guitar lessons.

Online Guitar Lessons or Courses

What do we mean exactly by an online guitar course? You have basically two methods of accessing online guitar courses and these are by download or by streaming (accessing the material while it is downloading). The downside of this type of course is that the quality tends not to be as good as hard copy DVD courses. The downloadable courses can take quite a while to download if you do not have a super fast internet connection.

Another consideration is to go for guitar lessons you can archive easily. This is quite easy with say a course of lessons on DVD but not as easy with online lessons. Having an archive of easily accessible material is a MUST HAVE for any course. You must be able to put your hands on a particular part of the course instantly in order to refer back should you need to at a later date. Also look for a REAL address and telephone number as this suggests a legitimate trustworthy company. DO NOT go for a course that just lists a PO Box and no telephone number.

What are offline guitar courses?

Another problem with live guitar tutors in my opinion is that most will give you only just enough information to keep you coming back and charge you as much as they can possibly get away with. Not the best scenario.

Here are some disadvantages of going for regular guitar lessons.

* The problem with either traveling for a guitar lesson or having a tutor come to your home is you have to have the lesson at a predetermined time. This will probably screw up your day and everything else has to work around it.

* Your tutor may not necessarily be into the type of music you love to play which means that you'll not enjoy your lessons as much as you could, which in turn means that your learning will not progress as quickly as it should.

* When learning to play an instrument you will come across something that you are not too sure about and need to ask a question or find the solution. With regular guitar lessons you will need to wait until your next lesson in order to get your questions answered. Ideally you want your answers NOW so you can get on with your progression and move to the next stage...

* Most people when sitting in front of a tutor and playing back what they've learned in the week will feel a little if not quite a bit intimidated or nervous. They will feel under pressure to get it just right in front of their tutor. What happens in most scenarios is the student will make mistakes when at home they have played the piece very well. The best scenario would be to repeat back the lesson in their own home with no pressure in familiar surroundings...

So Where Does That Leave YOU?

Do not fear! There is an alternative to both these methods yet encompasses both.

The only alternative and the best alternative in my opinion is to use a system that encompasses both methods. During his solo career as an adult (which began in 1979) Michael Jackson released a total of six studio albums up through his untimely death in 2009. In this article you'll find a short review of each of those six albums.

Off the Wall - This is the album that made Jackson a star on his own (without the rest of the Jacksons.) "Don't Stop 'til You Get Enough" and "Rock with You" were the first two tracks on the album and they were also both #1 singles. "Don't Stop 'til You Get Enough" was actually the only song on the album written by Jackson himself.

Thriller - Jackson's masterwork. It's still seen by most music critics as Jackson's best album and as one of the best albums of the 1980s. It's also the biggest selling album of all time. It features many of his very best known songs including "Thriller," "Billy Jean," & "Beat It." Something that is often overlooked is that unlike many pop stars, Jackson actually wrote many of his biggest hits and he wrote four of the nine songs on this album.

Bad - This album is way too often overlooked in comparison with Thriller just because it didn't match the ridiculous sales numbers of that monumentally album. But what about the five #1 singles that Bad produced? And how about the fact that Jackson wrote 8 of the 10 songs on Bad himself? In my opinion the Bad album is an essential part of the Jackson discography.

Dangerous - Dangerous was actually his biggest selling album as far as first week sales. It's also second (only behind Thriller) as far as total worldwide album sales with over 32 million copies sold in the world. That being said, it only had one #1 hit ("Black or White") which after an album with five #1 hits (Bad) that was something of a disappointment.

HIStory - This album sometimes gets forgotten because it's a double album and one half of it is actually a "greatest hits" album, but the other half is a proper studio album which contains many memorable songs such as "Strangers in Moscow" and "They Don't Really Care About Us" along with the #1 hit "You Are Not Alone."

Invincible - MJ's final album (at least while still living) is considered to be his worst album by almost all music critics and most of his fans. But does that mean it has no redeeming qualities? No. It includes some excellent songs such as "Butterflies" & Threatened" and it featured the hit single "You Rock My World" which reached #10 in the US and #2 in the UK.

2009 Green Day Concert Tickets for Boston

It's safe to say that Green Day as a band has successfully achieved cult status over the past two decades. They started out as a small California local band with a grassroots fan base, and with their catchy, and at times even controversial pop punk songs, they have built a tremendous and dedicated fan base over the years that spans across the entire world. They are likely the most influential punk/alternative band in the modern music scene.

The band wasn't named Green Day when they first started playing small California gigs. Performing as the group Sweet Children, they worked their way into the California punk seen in the late eighties and early nineties. They signed with Lookout! Records in 1989 and released their first EP, "1,000 Hours". One issue that came up for the trio is that another local band had a similar name, so to set themselves apart, the group started performing under the name Green Day.

There is little that proves more daunting for young bass players than realizing just how physically demanding it is to play bass. As novices watching our favorite bassists on video we think, "That doesn't look so hard! I can do that!"

The standard tuning of a four string bass guitar from highest (thinnest string) to lowest (fattest string) is G-D-A-E. On a five string bass the tunings are similar with the addition of a low B string. On a six string bass guitar, a thinner (higher pitched) string is added, and is tuned to C, In other words on a 6 string bass guitar the settings are B-E-A-D-G-C, where B is the fattest string or lowest note and C the highest and thinnest.

The bass student will find more reward in learning the varied methods, namings, visualizing and thinking of chord, scale, and arpeggio patterns on the fretboard. In some ways, the differences are minor, but often they can be very obvious and the benefit of learning them can easily result in transitioning around the fretboard easily.

A simpler setup would be to connect your bass guitar to the input of a direct injection box, which offers a different, rounder character compared to the crisp sound that you get from micing up a bass amplifier. There are a multitude of active and passive DI boxes to choose from, so try them out at the local guitar shop to see which one appeals to you the most.

It can be played by plucking, slapping, tapping, popping, or by picking the strings with a pick. The bass guitar looks somewhat similar to an electric guitar, but with a larger, heavier body, a longer scale length, and a longer neck. The bass guitar usually has four strings, tuned one octave lower in pitch than the four lower strings of a guitar.

He may begin to actually miss you. It may actually be more difficult to get him back if you don't give the time and space he needs after a breakup.

4. Change yourself. Be someone men would desire. New clothes, makeup, hairstyle... whatever suits your fancy. If you've picked up a few pounds, start exercising and eating healthy. When you look good on the outside, you're going to start feeling better about yourself on the inside. By feeling good on the inside you will be confident and happy. When you're confident and happy, you will project this image to others. There's nothing more attractive than the aura of confidence, and even an ex-boyfriend isn't immune to this.

5. Be patient. At some point, your ex will contact you. Imagine his surprise when he sees the "new" you from step 4. He will probably be sorry that he broke up with you. Keep your physical contact with him to a minimum, if you do see him. Seeing you looking your best and seeing that you've become confident and happy will make him desire you. If you limit your physical contact with him, this will drive him crazy. Don't rush things, jumping back into a relationship again too quickly could result in another breakup and this time, it could be permanent.
